I'm Carlos Edgardo Serrano Rendón

But you can call me Carlos (if you can roll your R's, it's pronounced 'karlos')

And I'm a Product Designer working at the intersection of digital and physical products to help humans reach their full potential, currently at Pinterest. Before Pinterest, I was a solo (product) designer Quartz, leading user research, UX/UI, and visual design, and consulting for a few different early-stage, high-growth start ups in the Bay Area, including Nova Credit and Ongo.Life.

Previously, I worked as an Architectural Designer at Vital Environments Inc., looking at building acoustics through the lens of product design. My other experiences include StudioVARA, The Urban Works Agency, and Alamo Architects. I received a Master of Architecture from California College of the Arts.

With multiple years of experience in architecture and academia, I look at my work through an interdisciplinary lens, frequently jumping between scales, perspectives, and materials. I believe a successful product must simultaneously elevate businesses and the humans who use it. My queer and latinx identities demand that I approach my work in an inclusive manner. My engagement with music, pop culture, technology, and the arts undeniably influences my creative process.
